Upon reconstituting the State Executive Council in September 2023, the Governor appointed four female commissioners out of 16 portfolios announced in the first major wave, representing 25% of that specific group.

The administration made history by appointing women to the two most senior non-elective positions in the state: Professor Olanike Adeyemo as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Mrs. Olubunmi Oni as the Head of Service (HoS).

In various rounds of appointments for Chairpersons and Executive Secretaries of state boards, women have been placed in key roles, such as the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA) and the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA).

The Ministry of Women Affairs has actively pushed for the full domestication of the National Gender Policy, which seeks a 35% affirmative action, to provide a legal backing that moves the "30% strive" into a mandatory requirement for all future boards.
