Under the FGN-UBEC/Oyo SUBEB intervention projects, the administration led by Governor Seyi Makinde has successfully delivered 56 model schools within its first three years.

 

These facilities are distributed across all 33 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. Here is the comprehensive breakdown of the completed projects by year:

 

Year 1: Foundation Projects (22 Schools)

In the inaugural year, the administration focused on a mix of urban and rural educational infrastructure:

 

  • Ibadan Zone: C.P.S. Idi-Osun Adetokun (Ibadan North West), Anwar-Ul-Islam Primary (Ibadan North West), Emmanuel College Primary (Ibadan North), Community Primary Elewura (Ibadan South West), Celestial Church of Christ High School (Ibadan South West), and St. Mathias Primary (Akinyele).
  • Oyo & Ogbomoso Zone: Elekuro Baptist Primary (Oyo West), Community High School Ladigbolu (Oyo West), Atan Baptist Primary (Atiba), A.D.S. Basic School (Ogbomoso North), and Molete High School (Ogbomoso South).
  • Ido, Oluyole & Environs: Community Basic School Agbopa (Ido), Community Primary Ojimi-Ayinde (Ido), Community Junior Grammar School (Ona Ara), Islamic Mission School Lalupon (Lagelu), and OLGC Primary (Oluyole).
  • Oke-Ogun & Ibarapa Zone: Muslim Community High School (Olorunsogo), Anwar-Ul-Islam Basic (Itesiwaju), Ofiki Junior Grammar (Atisbo), L.A. Primary Olele (Kajola), C & S New School (Ibarapa East), and Baptist Primary Idere (Ibarapa Central).

 

Year 2: Expansion Phase (26 Schools)

The second year saw the highest volume of completions, significantly boosting capacity in the following areas:

 

  1. Greater Ibadan: St. Brendan’s 1 & 2 (Egbeda), I.D.C. Primary Olubadan (Egbeda), Methodist Primary Bodija (Ibadan North), St. Peter’s Primary (Ibadan North East), Oba Abass Aleshinloye Grammar (Ibadan North West), I.M.G Primary Oloro-Alake (Ibadan South East), and Community Primary Airport (Ona Ara).
  2. Oyo & Ogbomoso: Oranyan Grammar School (Atiba), Methodist Primary Apaara (Oyo East), Saja Baptist Primary (Ogbomoso North), and Methodist Primary Arowomole (Ogbomoso South).
  3. Oke-Ogun & Ibarapa: Community High School Otun-Saki (Saki West), N.U.D. Model School (Saki West), Oke-Ola Community Primary (Saki East), Laha Community Primary (Irepo), Baptist (Jnr) High School (Iwajowa), A.D.S Primary (Iwajowa), Ansarudeen Grammar 1 (Iseyin), St. Paul’s Anglican (Iseyin), Baptist Primary Igangan (Ibarapa North), and Baptist Primary Otamokun (Ogo Oluwa).
  4. Oluyole & Lagelu: Muslim Grammar Odinjo (Oluyole), Islamic Primary Onikokoro (Lagelu), Community High Ifesowapo (Lagelu), and Community Secondary Alaadun (Ona Ara).
  5. Olorunsogo: U.M.C.A Primary Aperu (Olorunsogo).

 

 

Year 3: Consolidation (8 Schools)

The third year rounded off the 56-school milestone with these key projects:

 

  1. Ibarapa & Oke-Ogun: Lanlate High School (Ibarapa East), Command Day Secondary (Saki West), and Awoyemi Commercial High School (Kajola).
  2. Ogbomoso & Environs: St. Agnes Primary (Oriire) and Oke-Igboho Baptist Primary (Oorelope).
  3. Ibadan & Oyo Zone: N.U.D. Basic School Orita-Aperin (Ibadan South East), Community Junior Secondary Agbamu (Oluyole), and St. Anthony Basic School (Afijio).
